You're Old Enough to Vote!
Did you ever join your parents as they went to vote? There are many tables and people standing in different lines. It looks daunting, but is exciting at the same time. Voting is the opportunity to have your individual voice heard. You have to wait until you're 18 to vote, but you can be a part of the election process NOW!
Being a poll worker (election judge) is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to gain valuable experience and help their community at the same time.
Students are paid $10/hour for training class and for time spent at precinct on election day.

Schools may offer extra credit in some courses to students who serve as election judge trainees.
