The City of Burnsville, Minn. is in the process of changing its rental licensing ordinance and requirements for owners and managers. The major changes proposed in the updated ordinance include: • Mandatory City inspections of the premise • Rental licensing fees • Restructure of the STAR (Safer Tenant and Rental) program. The City of Burnsville will host a meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 9 a.m. at Burnsville City Hall Council Chambers, 100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville, Minn., to provide an overview of the proposed changes to the ordinance. There will also be a question/answer session following the presentation. Detailed information regarding the proposed changes can be found at www.burnsville.org/rental.
