1. What are your Public Skating admission prices?

$4.00 per person regardless of age.

4. When are your public skating hours?

Our public skating hours are: September to April – Monday through Friday 11:00am-1:00pm, Saturday 7:30pm-9:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm-1:30pm
May – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:00am-1:00pm, Saturday 7:30pm-9:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm-1:30pm
June to August – Monday, Wednesday Friday 3:30pm-5:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm-1:30pm

5. When are your Adult Open hockey hours?

September to April – Wednesday through Friday 11:00am-1:00pm and Sunday 9:00am-10:30am
May – Thursday 11:00am-1:00pm and Sunday 9:00am-10:30am
June to August – Sunday 9:00am-10:30am

6. What is the cost for Adult Open Hockey?

$6.00 per person.

7. How old do you have to be to participate in Adult Open Hockey?

Must be 18 years of age.

8. What equipment is required to play Adult Open Hockey?

The Burnsville Ice Center only requires helmets.

9. Do you have Rental Skates available?

Yes, we carry whole sizes of skates. No half sizes.

10. What is the cost of Rental Skates?

$4.00 per pair.

11. When are Learn to Skate Lessons offered?

We offer Learn Skate lessons year round. We have four different sessions, Fall (registration is in late August-lessons begin in early September), Winter (registration is in early November-lessons begin in mid November), Spring (registration is in late January-lessons begin in early February), Summer (registration is in early May-lessons begin in mid June).

12. When is your Annual Ice Skating Show?

The Impressions on Ice Show is generally held the last weekend in April on a Friday and Saturday evening. Show times are at 7:00pm.

13. When do Ice Show tickets go on sale and how much are they?

Ice Show tickets go on sale in early April each year. Prices range from $12.00 for reserved seating to $5.00 for Students and Seniors.

14. General Information about Clubs and How to ask for them.

The Burnsville Hockey Club and the Burnsville Minnesota Valley Figure Skating Club are volunteer organizations that use our facility as their address; however they do not have any staff located at our phone number to answers questions. Their volunteers change from year to year, so when calling for the respective Clubs please ask Ice Center staff for a Club representative that you can contact.

16. What should be worn to skating lessons?

Skaters should be warm & and comfortable so dress in layers with mittens or gloves. Snow pants or warm up pants are good because they are water proof. Helmets are required for the Hockey Tracks classes, and strongly recommended for the beginner classes.

17. What skating class should I sign my child up for?

Generally, any new skater, 4 yrs. or older, can be in a beginner or hockey tracks 1 class. If they are 3, they can go into a P.A.L.S. class where a parent / guardian skates with them. If your child has had lessons before or has some skating experience, please call the coordinator for an evaluation at 952-895-4657.
